Some Bright Ideas For Healthier Skin

Thursday, November 24th, 2011

If you have been attempting to find ways of looking younger, you’ll have spotted that this implies proper skin protection. Our skin shows so much about our age and to truly beat the symptoms of ageing we need to find ways of making our skin look more glowing, firm and toned. This article will give you ways of doing that.

After a wash, pat gradually with a soft towel to dry your skin. Avoid a coarse, rubbing motion as this can be too oppressive for your skin. Your skin should still feel barely damp after you have patted it dry. Right away moisturize your skin with some natural oil such as sunflower, peanut or walnut oil. You can mix in a little aloe gel if these oils seem too heavy.

When you moisturize your skin, avoid using commercial products that are stuffed with chemicals, synthetic colours and petrol derivatives. As an alternative seek natural products made of organic oils and smells and free of colour additives. A particularly cost-effective alternative is to be taught how to make your own beauty items for complete control of your beauty programme.

When you shave, be very careful. Always use a moisturising gel, lotion or cream to lubricate your skin. Make sure your razor is sharp and clean. Avoid shaving against the direction in which the hair grows because this could cause ingrown hairs. After shaving, wash with cool water and lubricate your skin with a natural oil and / or aloe gel.

Using SPF sun lotion is an entire life activity. Some people believe you do not need it when you get older. So long as there is sun exposure, it isn’t relevant whether you are a young child or an elderly person, you want to use it. Sun damage occurs at all ages and overexposure to the sun will boost your likelihood of cancer.

Be sure to get lots of vitamin A for glowing skin. Vitamin A makes the protecting tissues of the skin stronger and moisturizes your skin. It’s very important for new tissue expansion, maintenance and repair. It is also valuable in helping your body rid itself of poisons suitably. All this adds up to scrub, clear, healthy skin.

If you have greasy skin, you should do your best to keep it clean and keep acne away. This suggests you’ll need to completely clean your pores everyday from dust and make up. If you leave your pores clogged, the oil will build up beneath the skin and cause your face to break out. If you want to cut back your wrinkles, think about a micro-dermabrasion treatment. These treatments are much less expensive than face lifts and are not risky in any way. Besides, a facelift is not a good selection if you happen to have a sensitive skin. Micro-dermabrasion can adapt to your skin and treat it carefully.

As you can see, taking good care of your skin is something that you have to build in to your life. Doing it once or twice, every now and then doesn’t cut it. Spend some time to put these tips into your daily skin therapy regime and harvest the benefits in virtually no time.

It Makes Sense To Use A Moisturizer With Sunscreen Deosn’t It?

Saturday, March 7th, 2009

Sunburn is bad for your skin, so should you use a moisturizer with sunscreen?

But the answer may not be quite what you thought it might be.

It’s totally clear though that sunburn is really bad for your skin.

If you want to guarantee older looking skin with all the symptoms of aging skin like dryness, sagging, wrinkles and more, just get a sunburned face regularly from an early age.

Then there’s skin cancer to consider too.

So that means that it makes total sense to use a moisturizer with sunscreen with an spf as high as possible.

Well no, but that doesn’t mean that getting sunburned is fine.

Why isnt it a good idea to use a moisturizer with an spf factor? Because there is evidence that the daily use of sunscreens can be dangerous to your health, and even some suggestion that daily use of an spf moisturizer could lead to cancer.

That’s not to say that it’s proven, but it is certainly suspected by many scientists. Now if you use a sunscreen for, say, 5 or 6 times a year, then the risk is a little lower. But if you use a moisturizer with sunscreen added chances are you’re going to be using it daily, so you’re using a sunscreen daily.

There’s different types of sunscreens. There are sunscreens that work in 2 different ways. There are those that stay on the surface of your skin, and those that work within your skin once they soak in. Those that stay on the surface are sunscreens with either zinc or titanium.

If you’re using a sunscreen that soaks in then some of it will get into your blood. And the skin care products and moisturizers with sunscreen use the type that soaks in because it looks and feels better that way.

Spf factor is produced by use of synthetic chemicals, and its always a concern getting synthetic chemicals into your bloodstream.

And theres another factor to consider. If you block the sun to your face daily you can suffer from a deficiency of vitamin D, because the sun on our skin helps our vitamin D supply. Studies have shown that up to 60% of Americans are vitamin D deficient, though not necessarily all from sunscreen use.

So what should you do?

Use the highest quality moisturizer possible, without sunscreen in it. The manufacturer of the worlds very best moisturizers and skin care products specifically doesn’t add a sunscreen to their products for all the reasons I’ve mentioned.

And wait till there’s a day when you really think you need a spf factor, then use a sunscreen with either zinc or titanium. On other days you won’t need one, and then you can stock up on that vitamin D.
