Chi Flat Iron Review

Friday, February 20th, 2009

These days most celebrities talk about hair straighteners and appear on the television with their curly, unruly hair straightened out and sleek. Are they fooling us or is it really possible to straighten out stubbornly curly hair? The answer is yes IT is possible to tame your unruly hair and straighten them like the celebrities do. You can also have shiny and sleek silky hair with the Chi flat iron. Let’s have a look at Chi flat iron review.

Chi Flat Irons are one of the most admired flat irons today. The Chi flat iron pioneered the use of ceramic plates in the history of hair straighteners. Hence Chi hair straighteners are well known for their quality and long standing goodwill in the industry. Chi hair straighteners work for curly and frizzy hair too. Most people swear by the Chi hair straighteners and admit that had they not been there, they hair would have been in knots. Chi hair straighteners come in many varieties, the most popular being the Chi Flat Iron.

The Chi flat iron is comparatively cheaper than its competitors but has a better quality. The handle is ergonomically made which means that your hand won’t get cramped while you straighten your hair. The design is pretty neat and intelligent too. The Chi flat iron has a long chord that is about 10 feet long and a swivel base, so there is no danger of you getting entangled in it. Moreover, you don’t need to stand near an electrical outlet, so you can sit at your dresser and straighten your hair.

The ceramic heating plates of Chi Flat Iron are smooth over the hair and do not cause them to break. Earlier copper coils caused a lot of friction in the hair when they were used, which lead to a lot of hair loss. Another good point about the ceramic plates is that they have a tendency to heat evenly. So, you don’t need to worry about over done spots in your hair. Most hair salons use this technology, so you can do the same thing at home and save money.

Most flat irons tend to damage colored hair but Chi Flat Iron is different. The technology used in Chi flat iron causes it to emit negative ions that help in hair sealing and minimizing shaft damage. This also helps to lock the color for colored hair.

People who travel a lot will find Chi Flat Iron handy since its sleek and compact and will fit into any bag. So all you need to do is pack it in your bag and have great sleek hair wherever you go.

The Chi flat hair iron has some other uses too. You can use it to style your hair into curls, crimps and flips. So this is more like an All in one tool. Chi flat iron is one of the best hair straightener for your hair.

I enjoy researching products for the highest quality and the best prices. Read more about Chi Flat Irons here:

Eye Shadow Make-Up Tips

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

Your make up can make a statement on how you look. You can cover those tired eyes or enhance your charming lips. Choose the right make up style according to the occasion. You can apply a more natural and modest look when going to work and put on those smoky eyes with a little bit of dramatic look for a night out with friends. So if you’re wondering how to do it without taking too much time then pull out those make up train cases and follow the lead.

The first thing to do when preparing to put on make up, whether for the day or night, is to apply an eye shadow as a primary base for your lids to help your make up look fresh and last longer. If you know how to apply an eye shadow you can certainly bring out the natural look of your eyes, enhancing its color and unique shape. You can also change the way it looks if you prefer to try something new. To give wide set eyes, apply a light to medium shape of eye shadow to your entire lid area. Then apply a darker color to the outer 1/3 of the main lid area, you can extend the color slightly beyond your eyelids if you want to. You can use you finger tip to blend both dark and light color to soften the edges of the lid. Use a pencil liner to slightly widen the outer edges of the eyes. Apply mascara to the tip of you eyelashes to make it look natural looking. You can tap a little mascara on your lower eyelashes but do not overdo it.

If you have eyes that set wide apart then you can definitely use make up to make the illusion, making it look closer. Instead of using a medium to light shade, use a lighter shade of eye shadow on your main lid area. Then apply a darker but complimentary shade of shadow along the inner corner of your lids and draw it out using a fine line along the crease of your lid. This dark shade adds depth and draws attention, creating an illusion that they are closer than they actually are. You can apply more liners and mascara if you desire. Be sure to keep your make up train cases neat and clean to avoid mess.

If you have small eyes and want a “pop out” look then you should start by applying a light shade of eye shadow just beneath your eyebrows, this will bring out a highlight effect. A medium shade of eye shadow is used for your main eyelid and a line of darker shadow on the crease of your lid to the outer edge, you can use your fingertip to soften and blend the colors. Apply eyeliner along the upper lid, just above the lash line and also the lash line on your lower lid, meeting the upper line and the outer corner of your eyes. You can use a pencil instead and use your fingertips to spread and soften its lines for a smoky look.

Eye shadows, lipsticks, eye liner, powder, and blush-ons - what other way of keeping your precious beauty products than with makeup train cases?

Bikini Line Shaving Made Easy

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

There are so many ways to groom body hair and many of them are painful. Threading, waxing, plucking… ouch! These methods leave your skin painful, red, tender and unattractive. What do you do if you have a romantic evening planned and you need a little grooming “down there”? Your fastest, cheapest and least painful way is to shave. If you have a little time you can also create a landing strip or a pretty heart shape with stencils!

To get started you’ll need scissors, a comb, mirror, razor, clear shaving gel or cream, after shave astringent and moisturizer. Use products that are made for the pubic hair region… it is much thinner than any other skin on your body and you want to avoid rashes and ingrown hair. You can purchase a kit with everything you need next time you want to be ready for shaving your bikini line.

Decide how much you want to groom your bikini line and pick a design if you have the time. Then follow the ten easy steps below to get the perfect bikini line shave without ingrown hair, razor rashes or other irritation.

1. Take a lovely bubble bath or long, warm shower to soften your hair. 2. Trim the hair with scissors until it is about 1/4 of inch long. 3. Draw a design with a stencil and pencil if you want a landing strip or other shape. 4. Apply your shaving gel or cream to the area to be shaved. 5. Using your razor shave in the opposite direction of the hair growth to get the closest shave. 6. Rinse your razor frequently and replace the blade if it starts to feel dull. 7. When you have finished shaving trim the hair that is left (if there is any) a little shorter until it looks neat. 8. Rinse and dry your pubic area and then apply astringent. 9. Wait until you are ready to get dressed and apply your moisturizer. 10. Let dry and get dressed.

Always use a new razor blade when shaving. A sharp blade makes for a closer and safer shave. Some people rub an ice cube over the shaved area after they have rinsed to help close the pores and prevent ingrown hair. You can do this or skip this step if you are using products made for pubic hair as they will prevent ingrown hair.

Never use commercial hair removal creams (depilatories). Even those advertised for bikini line hair removal will burn most people and cause a great deal of pain.

Grooming your pubic hair is not a passing fad. Visit any museum around the world and you will see a variety of art including both men and women where the pubic hair has been completely or partially removed. Fortunately for us we no longer need to rely on the painful methods used in the past.

Shaving your bikini line is not difficult but you do need to do it properly to forego ingrown hair or razor rashes. Follow the steps set out above and you will have a sexy, clean shave in no time at all!
